Wild Acre’s Belmont House:

The Belmont House is a long-term residential program that provides a warm, supportive, and structured living environment for adults experiencing chronic and persistent mental illness, typically thought disorders. Designed to foster stability, independence, and improved quality of life, the program offers 24/7 support in a home-like setting that prioritizes dignity, compassion, and recovery. Each resident works with a designated clinical case manager equipped with extensive training in a wide range of persistent mental health challenges and disorders. The program coordinates with psychiatrists, therapists, and case managers to ensure continuity of care, crisis intervention, and access to outpatient treatment when needed.

Wild Acre’s Cushing House & Waverley House:

The Cushing House and Waverley House are both 8-bed short-term, co-ed transitional residences serving adults looking to develop or reclaim the skills necessary to get back to a prior level of independence. The program focuses on educational and vocational goal assessment and planning, social skill building, and wellness. Our structured milieu provides a safe and predictable context in which residents can stabilize behaviors, move forward in treatment, and develop new coping skills and healthy relationships. Skilled and dedicated staff members serve as advocates and coaches, developing practical supports and interventions for residents that are readily transferable to the next step in their journey towards greater independence. These programs focus on cultivating and supporting family involvement whenever possible and to assist in establishing other meaningful lifelong connections and friendships.

Wild Acre’s Supportive Apartments:

Following successful treatment in the group home residences, individuals may choose to live in one of Wild Acre’s Supportive Apartments to solidify progress made. Other individuals needing some support to continue to live independently may choose to go directly to a Supportive Apartment or some may need a trial of living in a Supportive Apartment before returning to full independence. Wild Acre offers apartments in Watertown and Cambridge, MA for these individuals who are capable of living independently with some support and who would benefit from living with others. Services include apartment peer meetings facilitated by clinicians, individual case management, and an on-call clinician. Ideal candidates are individuals who have some level of insight into the dynamics of their illness and are capable of asking for support. Other important factors include being at least 90 days sober, having an established outpatient team, medication independence (or working towards independence), and having 20 hours of outside structure per week. Additional support services or structure (e.g. job searches, case management, medication ordering) can be customized to suit an individual’s needs. Fees vary.

Wild Acre’s Home Care:

For individuals who are chose to live independently in their own home, Wild Acre offers a Home Care program. This program provides schedule management, medication management, vocational support, transportation to appointments, symptom management, support with coping skills, and engagement in the community. Nursing care and medication monitoring are also available as necessary. This program allows individuals to remain in their home or transition from a higher level of care to greater independence.
