La Amistad Behavioral Health Services provides treatment programs for psychiatric issues including depression, anxiety, transitional distress, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, chemical dependency issues, and dual diagnosis for those struggling with both. The greatest asset at our mental health facility is the staff, comprising highly-qualified board certified psychiatrists, psychologists, professional nurses, licensed social workers and therapists who work as a team to uphold La Amistad’s longstanding reputation for excellence and empower our clients as they transition successfully back into their communities.

Some key features of our residential treatment program include:

  • Intensive Therapy: Residential treatment offers intensive therapy and support to individuals dealing with mental health issues, substance abuse problems or co-occurring disorders. Therapy options include individual counseling, group therapy, family therapy and other evidence-based models.

  • 24/7 Support and Supervision: A significant advantage of residential treatment is constant support and supervision provided by a team of trained professionals. This constant availability helps individuals through difficult times and keeps clients safe during the recovery process.

  • Structured Environment: We maintain a highly structured and controlled environment designed to promote healthy habits, routine and accountability.

  • Individualized Treatment Plans: All individuals in our facility receive a unique treatment plan tailored to their needs and circumstances to target specific issues and goals.

  • Transitional Planning: After completing our residential program, some clients may step down to our Partial Hospitalization Programs or Intensive Outpatient Programs. Our staff assists in transitioning smoothly to lower levels of care and back to daily life after treatment.

  • Lifetime Alumni & Peer Support - We believe in the profound value of lived experience and peer support . We incorporate peer support at various different levels, as we truly believe collaborative relationships are instrumental in healing. We accept private pay and all major insurance coverage. We strive to be cost-effective in delivering the highest standard of care while working closely with clients, their families, agency representatives, insurance companies and managed care groups in determining all payment options available.
